Welcome to muuter
New! You can mute Twitter users by keywords! We'll scan your timeline and mute everyone who uses those keywords.
Head over our Tools page to learn everything you need to know to interact with muuter via Direct Message.
Test our new Bookmarklets right on our Tools page!
muuter will allow you to mute your friends on Twitter when they become too noisy for your taste.
If you do it manually and unfollow the -temporarily- loud twitterers, you risk forgetting to follow them back again.
Here's where muuter comes valiantly in your rescue: you define the twitter name and the time you want to mute 'em (or muute 'em?), we do the remembering part.
Please notice that the "mute" action is performed by temporarily unfollowing your contact. More info and definitions in the Help area.

Note that the only way for us to make this work is by making you temporarily unfollow your noisy friend. If you need to mute someone without unfollowing, try TweetDeck's column filters.
The help section has the answers to the most common questions, and please feel free to ask us anything.
We never ask for your user and password. You sign in with Twitter and authorize us to mute people in your following list.
All our actions are non-destructive: whatever we did on Twitter in your name, we have it saved for you to review. If you need to revert something, it's just a click away.
Our operations do count towards your API use. If you don't know what this is, you can learn about it here. If you (now) know about API limits, take into account that every mute operation requires two API calls: one to mute and one to follow again.
Thank you for using muuter!
